Ana Elena's Experience with Multiple Sclerosis

Ana Elena was diagnosed with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 2015. Since then, she has seen significant changes in her physical abilities, going from being completely independent to needing help with daily tasks. "My son helps me with things like putting clothes in the washing machine or hanging them out," Ana Elena notes, emphasizing the importance of family support in her daily life.

Discovering Movex Clinics Bilbao

In her search for new ways to manage her disease, Ana Elena found Movex Clinics Bilbao online. "I saw they had exoskeletons, and since I like to try everything, I decided to go," she explains. Her experience at Movex has been positive, although not without challenges. A significant setback occurred when an infection hospitalized her, interrupting her progress.

Technological Innovations at Movex

Carlos Fernández Isoird, CEO of Gogoa, notes that the company is developing new technologies to improve the usability of exoskeletons for MS patients. "We are introducing new operating modes that include a system of sensors in the insoles that detect movement intention and help the patient develop their gait," Carlos says.

Ana Elena has shown interest in participating in these innovations. "Count on me to try it," she affirms.

Combined Treatments for Recovery

Sara García, coordinator at Movex Clinics Bilbao, highlights the combination of intensive treatments and advanced technology in patient progress. "The use of the balance platform and virtual reality has been fundamental in Ana Elena's recovery of movement and coordination. Although her progress was temporarily halted, we continue to work for her to keep advancing."
